Sure, you can. Pool service providers exist to add comfort, convenience, but most of all - EXPERTISE. Many homeowners have ruined their water chemistry and/or their equipment by leaning too heavily on the DIY route. At minimum, you should allow us to take you through pool school before trying to operate your pool by yourself.
LUKE BLUE POOL as well as all of our staff and operators, are insured through our SPPA policy.
Salt systems are great. However, their only job is to produce chlorine for the pool. A salt system is not better or worse than a regular chlorine system. This all depends on the customer, and their preferences.
Yes, we offer one-time pool cleaning services for special events or occasions. Call for more info.
Every week you will get a detailed service report explaining exactly what we did during our visit, including detailed information regarding chemical dosages, below you can find detailed descriptions of every chemical compound we use to keep your pool fresh, clean, safe and crystal clear.
Chlorine. A fast-acting sanitizer that kills bacteria, algae, and germs in the water. This is the main disinfectant used to keep your pool safe and clear.
Used to lower the pool’s pH and alkalinity when they rise too high. Proper pH balance helps chlorine work effectively and keeps the water comfortable for swimmers.
Slow-dissolving tablets that add chlorine over time. They help maintain consistent sanitizing levels between visits.
A specialty additive that helps break apart oils and organic contaminants on the surface. Reduces scum lines and improves overall water clarity.
Targets and eliminates “mustard algae,” a yellowish, chlorine-resistant algae type. Often used alongside shock treatments for best results.
Protects chlorine from being destroyed by sunlight. Helps maintain a steady chlorine level during bright Florida days.
A cleaning solution used to remove oily buildup, sunscreen residue, and grime from tile lines, making the waterline look clean and fresh again.
Added to salt-system pools. The salt is converted by your salt cell into chlorine, keeping the pool sanitized and gentle on the skin.
A quick-acting formula used to aggressively kill active algae blooms and help restore clear water faster. Often used preemptively once symptoms of impending algae bloom has been observed.
A strong algaecide that treats many common algae blooms such as mustard, spirogyra (green), & black algae. Used in restoration treatments and periodically to mitigate future blooms. This treatment is not included in regular service and may result in an additional fee for treatment. (The need for a poly algaecide treatment can be avoided by making sure pool is circulating at least 6 hours per day)
A strong “shock” chlorine used to quickly raise sanitizer levels and destroy algae, bacteria, and cloudy water contaminants.
Raises total alkalinity to help stabilize pH and reduce water balance swings.
Gathers tiny particles into larger clumps so they can be vacuumed or filtered out. Used when water is cloudy and needs quick clearing.
Breaks down oils, lotions, pollen, and organic waste naturally. Helps prevent scum lines and improves filter efficiency.
An alternative sanitizer used in spas or special pools. Works well at high temperatures and remains effective longer than chlorine.
Binds to phosphates—one of algae’s main food sources—and removes them from the water. Helps prevent algae growth long-term.
Used to dissolve or prevent mineral stains and scale buildup on surfaces, especially in areas with hard water.
Quickly eliminates foam caused by lotions, detergents, high swimmer load, or algaecides. Restores a clean, smooth water surface.
Raises calcium hardness levels to protect plaster, tile, and pool surfaces from etching or corrosion.
